I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Jenell through her son Blake Melvin. He is the best friend of my twin sons Alexander and Elijah Wise. Jenell and I became friends instantly. Jenell had so much love in her heart, that she willingly shared it with her children, her family, her students, her friends and those lucky enough to meet her. To her children: Jenell loved you dearly and she was proud of you . Your Mother will be missed by each and every person who had the chance to cross "her path." To Mr. Melvin: Your sweet angel was called back to heaven. Gone to soon... but forever in our hearts! John 14:1, "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

Even though I only knew Mrs. Jenell for a short time I feel I have known her for much longer. To me she was like a second mother. Anytime I wanted to come over to her house to hangout she would always allow me. To the family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Mrs. Melvin was truly a tender-hearted person. I pray you find comfort in God during your time of sorrow.

I am truly sorry for your loss and know that you are depressed, but please even in this time of mourning try to accept that even though she is gone she is still watching over you as angels do. I only knew her for a short time, but her kindness toward me was never ending even in her sickness. Though it may seem like the end of the world, I can only hope that in your hearts you remember the good and not the bad. We all must go when it is our time. She is with God now.

It is such a sad day to hear of the passing of Mrs. Melvin. She was such a good person, loving wife and mother, and an excellent teacher. She will truly be missed by all!
I have several memories of Mrs. Melvin, but one that sticks out the most. She and Mr. Melvin would have date nights, and he would always send her messages the next day. Her face would light up....some of those messges she would share with us..lol..(sorry Mr. Melvin). The two of you had a GREAT relationship. I know she will be truly missed.
