Ilene was a great boss, mentor and friend. I have known her since working for her at Florida Tech in '93 and learned so much from her over the years that has helped me professionally. She had a great blend of professionalism and maintaining a sense of humor in her work. She encouraged her staff to continually learn and grow. I am forever indebted. Ilene, I will continue to do my best and to share what I have learned with others as my tribute to you. Kurt.

Ilene was a true leader, sharing her expertise, candidacy, and passion with me. I had the amazing privilege to work with her both at The Dallas Arboretum and Frontiers of Flight Museum for her last six years. I will never forget all that she demonstrated professionally and personally and will always cherish our many many memories of challenging hard work, travel, and fun. May God Bless Ilene and her family. Missing you Julia Barajas

Tributes.com I have never known anyone like Ilene. Her tenacity, stamina, and resilience transcends all. She was an extremely likeable person, who made you feel like one of the family. She will be missed greatly, but now gets to join her Dad, Sam. My condolences to her family during this time of loss.

Ilene always made me smile and brought out the best in everyone. No matter how tough her own road was she was always thinking of others. I will especially miss her passion and love of life. My thoughts and prayers are with all who love her. Ann Pomykal
